Ukraine National Pavilion at the World Urban Forum (WUF13), Baku

Prime World Expo was awarded the task of designing, manufacturing, and implementing the Ukraine National Pavilion at the Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku. The goal was to provide a highly representative exhibit that would illustrate Ukraine’s perspective on urban planning, housing projects, and architectural restoration.

Key Achievements

  • Full-service design, manufacture, and implementation of the pavilion
  • Creation of the pavilion design according to the concept of “Architecture of Restoration”
  • Effective execution during a very tight deadline
  • Handling international transportation and on-site logistics
  • Strong representation at an internationally attended conference
  • Formal approval by the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine

The Challenge

The process of developing the pavilion entailed a number of challenges, such as time constraints, international logistics management, and rigorous exhibition criteria. It was important to convey the most essential development ideas for Ukraine’s cities via the presentation in the exhibition hall in a professional way.

Apart from time restrictions, the pavilion should also have reflected Ukraine’s perspective on its recovery, urban transformation, and sustainable development within the international community framework. In order to deliver on this mission, the visual appearance of the environment should be thought-provoking, interesting, and inspiring enough to stimulate productive discussions and attract the attention of foreign participants.

Our Solution

Prime World Expo developed a custom pavilion concept centered around the theme of “Architecture of Restoration.” We have been involved in all aspects of project management, starting from concept formation through visualization, production, logistics, installation, and on-site services.

All the elements of this pavilion have been planned not only with the goal of making an impressive impression but also to effectively represent Ukrainian housing restoration and urbanization projects among visitors.

Execution

Even with all the difficulties and hard schedule, our team at Prime World Expo managed to execute the project flawlessly in accordance with its highest requirements. With accurate management, fabrication, and implementation of the project, the pavilion was built in line with the client’s expectations.

The whole process of construction involved our team of specialists who handled everything from planning and designing to installation of the final product.

Results

The successful functioning of the Ukraine National Pavilion made it a perfect venue for showcasing the vision of urban development of the country to an international audience. In recognition of high quality and professional work, the project received gratitude from the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.

In addition, the project became a good demonstration of Prime World Expo’s capability to implement major international exhibition projects despite difficult circumstances.
